But it's a major problem when it strays from what really happened, what the underlying documents reveal as facts. In Cold Blood is a remarkable book, but it appears it is not the exemplar of a "immaculately factual" account of that chilling 1959 Kansas murder. It's fascinating, IMHO, to watch this story play out over 4 decades later...
