Photos of CE399

The following photos are among those taken by Gerald Posner on a visit to the National Archives in 1994. They are pictures of Warren Commission Exhibit 399, the so-called "magic bullet," Oswald's second shot, that wounded both John Kennedy and Governor John Connally. For comparison purposes, Posner placed CE399 next to an undamaged 6.5mm, fully jacketed bullet. The second bullet is a Hornady, #2640 set, 6.5mm, 160 grain, .264 round nose bullet. For those who have never seen CE399 in person, this picture should help to dispel the oft-repeated, and false notion, that the bullet is in pristine condition.
